Crochet Workshop - Beaded Crochet Jewelry

Skill Level: Confident beginners

Design and make your very own beaded necklace or wrap bracelet! We will go over material prep, bead layout, crocheting with beads and finishing. Not only will you walk away with a custom piece of jewelry, this method of beading could also be incorporated into all sorts of other crochet projects at home.

Familiarity with a crochet chain is helpful, but it can be taught during the class as needed. 

All materials and tools will be provided. If you'd like to add your own beads, the hole must be large enough to fit a strand of crochet thread.

Please note the size of the beads and yarn for this project is fairly small. If you have concerns about dexterity or eyesight at this scale, I will also have pony beads and thicker yarn on hand to practice the technique at a larger size.

Instructor Bio: A lover of fiber arts and a hater of waste, I'm so excited to introduce more of my personal crafts of choice to the Gemma Fabrics community. I'm most proficient at knitting, but get easily distracted by the unlimited possibilities of what you can make with a bit of fabric and yarn. My favorite projects are those that play with color, texture and scale in unexpected and untraditional ways.
